Wednesday, September 22nd: Sonoma Here We Come!

Upon arrival, we’ll step onto the luxury tour bus and head for Sonoma. From the moment you step aboard, you will know you have arrived! We are in the wine country, right?? No sense in resting, we head straight to the home of  Mac and Lil MacDonald of Vision Cellars. To know Mac is to love him, he may even tell you stories of his families moonshine making days. Mac and Lil will serve us lunch as we taste through his amazing Pinot Noirs.

We will then make our way to check-in at the Vintner’s Resort. Next, we’ll head out for a private winery dinner experience hosted by Don and Patsy Calegari, owners of Calegari Vineyard, and Sam and Jennifer Lando, owners of LANDO Wines. Dinner will be catered by Chef Jim Sampietro, who owns the “word of mouth” only catering company St. Peter’s Fare, and caters to the “rich and famous”. The vineyard is not open to the public and has one of the most beautiful views in Sonoma.

DAY 2

Thursday, September 23rd: Get Ready for a Fun Filled Day.

We’ll hit the road at 10 am. Our first stop is Kendall Jackson. We all know the label, but only insiders get to tour the KJ Estate Garden with Master Gardner Tucker Taylor and enjoy an exclusive lunch prepared by Chef Kent Rathbun. The gardens sit on 4 spectacular acres. Tucker and his team have been busy selling KJ estate produce to Michelin Star restaurants in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. We’ll taste wine from KJ to Cardinale and we know you will enjoy them all.

After lunch we head to the home of Nick and Yolyn Goldschmidt. Nick’s winemaking career spans more than 30 years in eight countries. More than 100 of Goldschmidt’s wines have received 90 points and above from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and 20 wines have been included in Wine Spectator Top 100. In addition to their Healdsburg, California-based winery, they own properties in Chile and in their native New Zealand. Nick also has long-term consulting contracts in Argentina, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. We will enjoy a tasting of six wines.

Next up, it’s back to the hotel for a quick freshen up for dinner at Matheson. It’s one of the most anticipated Northern California restaurant openings in over a decade! Enjoy cuisine from local and highly decorated Chef Dustin Vallette’s who brought this three-story culinary vision to life. This will be a multi-course menu paired with the LANDO wines and will be a memory to last a lifetime.

Saturday, September 25th: We’re Heading to the Cellar!

Spend your last morning in Napa relaxing or sneak in an unplanned trip to the spa. However you chose to spend your morning, be sure to rest up because we’re saving the best for last.

Our day starts with Mount Veeder Magic Vineyard. Owner Karen Crouse will welcome us to her home with a bubbles and we will then be treated to a kitchen full of wine country goodies, i.e. charcuterie, heirloom tomato salad, local cruditйs and so much more. You can then choose to venture into her 35-year old vineyard for a walk among the vines. She will show you how to check sugar levels of the grapes (only winemakers get to do this), an experience you will not forgot. Karen will also offer a tasting of several vintages of her Cabernets, some library and even some sold out vintages. ADD ON: For $625 per person (as a group) we can purchase a 1/2 barrel of Mt Veeder Magic Vineyard Wine AND design our own label. 1/4 and full barrels are available as well.

After our visit with Karen, we’re heading back to the hotel to relax! We’ll need plenty of time to prepare for the highlight our next adventure. Few have the opportunity to enjoy a special dinner at Darioush. The multi-course wine-paired dinner is specially designed by Estate Chef, Sean Massey. We’ll kick off our dining experience with a reception featuring passed canapes before being led on a short walking tour, making several stops before settling into the communal table outdoors under the pistache trees to enjoy a multi-course menu celebrating Darioush Signature wine. It’ll be the piece de resistance… and each insider will receive a bottle of 2018 Darioush Signature Cab or 2019 Darioush Sauvignon Blanc.
